OF THE YEAR PICKS

California, Kids Karate Television Online the worlds hottest
new martial arts talk show that’s dedicated exclusively to
kids in the martial arts announced today that the voters have
selected their top picks for the 2003 Martial Arts Kids Hall
of Fame. The voters selected Sensei of the Year, Competitor of
the Year, Role Model of the Year, School of the Year and Team
of the Year. Congratulations to Sensei Dewey Earwood, to Becca
Ross and Jennifer Espina. Congratulations to Team Sansei out
of Florida and Congratulations to Red Dragon Karate-Diamond

Congratulations to Sensei Dewey Earwood for being
chosen as 2003 martial arts Sensei of the Year. Sensei Dewey
Earwood is the promoter of the Dixieland Nationals in Columbia
SC. He is also owns the Earwood Karate Studios in Irmo SC.
Sensei Earwood is a 9th Dan in the U.S. Tai system and also
holds a Black Belt in Isshinryu karate. He has also won World
Titles in the NBL, and is known all over the world. He is
wonderful person, very kind, honest and humble and a great
role model for all his students. The children in the school
really love and respect him, they are constantly coming up to
him and hugging him and you can tell he loves them too. The
man always has a kind word for everyone and you will never
hear him say anything negative about a person. “I have to say
personally that Dewey Earwood is one of the most committed
people to empowering children that I have met. He is worthy of
the Martial Arts Kids 2003 Sensei of The Year,” votes World
Champion Reginald Levesque. “He has made a big difference in
many children’s lives.” Sensei Dewey Earwood has been inducted
into 3 Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He has over 30 years of
experience in several different styles and has trained over 15

Congratulations to Team Sansei
out of Florida with overwhelming votes for 2003 martial arts
Team of the Year. Shihan Arturo Espina’s Team Sansei is most
known for its junior competitors. Kids like Ritchie Bichara,
Josh Quartin and Jennifer Espina with strong adult competitors
such as Jessica Calvino and Michael Cifre on the
team.
Congratulations to ISKA World Champion
Jennifer Espina for being chosen 2003 Competitor of the Year.
Jennifer Espina is the current ISKA World Champion a three
time World Champion and a four time National
Champion.
Congratulations to World Champion
Becca Ross (with votes in every category) for being selected
as martial arts 2003 Role Model of the Year. Becca Ross age 12
originally studied Wing Chun Kung Fu under the tutelage of
Sensei Chai Eun at Chai Karate in Ardsley, N.Y. By the time
she was 5 years old she was breaking wood, sparring, and
competing in tournaments on a statewide level. She received
three gold medals at West Point Military Academy for point
sparring, self-defense, and continuous fighting. She went on
to capture first place in every N.Y. State tournament that she
competed in between the ages of 6 and 7. Becca has four first
place wins in the WKA World Championship Eliminations. She
competed in Pisa Italy in Aug. and captured 2 silver and 3
Bronze medals. She was the only athlete to win a medal in
every division she competed in. Becca received her Black Belt
in American Kenpo Karate in May of 2000. She is currently
training at All Star Karate in Boca Raton under the tutelage
of Mr. Michael Demchak.

Dragon Karate-Diamond Bar, CA for being selected as martial
arts 2003 School of the Year. Red Dragon Karate has been
training champions of all ages under the instruction of Master
Instructor and owner Mohamad Jahan-vash. Shihan Mohamad is a
Seventh Degree Black Belt. At Red Dragon Karate students of
all ages train to be champions of life. Instructors are
